It was so freaky. We got a call that there was a fire fairly close to us in Black Forest, so we grabbed a pair of clothes just in case we had to leave, but we weren't panicking. Then it started getting bigger and places close to us were getting evacuated. We started grabbing more things, personal items, photo albums, etc. We decided to go stay at Mom's sister's house for a while, until the fire died down. Then it got really bad. The smoke all of the sudden intensified and we couldn't see the sun at times. The other times it was red through all the smoke. It got super thick and smoky. It looked like a foggy morning with black fog. It was really hard to breathe. But they still hadn't evacuated us yet. Ash started to fall. And then, out of the blue, a police came and said, "You have to leave now! The fire is coming this way quickly." We kind of panicked, got the dogs and the little ones in the car and quickly put the rest of the things in. Then my grandma has like thirty to thirty-five dogs that she wanted to save. So we were going back and forth grabbing the caviliers and then those huge newfoundland dogs. They were scared and of course wouldn't cooperate. Everyone was freaking out. It felt like we should be able to see the flames already, that's how bad it was. And then my grandpa went inside when we were about to leave, saying he was going to close the windows. We got out of there safely, thankfully, but we had to leave the llamas and the goats and chickens behind. We hope they can get away. And then we went to my mom's sister's house and they had to be evacuated too, so we helped them pack up, but it wasn't as panicked as the one at our house was. So we ended up coming to our rental house in the mountains. Last I heard, a school that is one or two blocks from our house is burned. We're just praying that everything is okay. Keep praying!
This song came on after we left: Not Alone by: Red Slowly fading away You’re lost and so afraid Where is the hope in a world so cold? Looking for a distant light Someone who can save a life Living in fear that no one will hear your cry. Can you save me now? I am with you. I will carry you through it all I won’t leave you; I will catch you When you feel like letting go Cause you’re not, you’re not alone Heart is full of broken dreams Just a fading memory Everything’s gone but the pain carries on Lost in the rain again. When will it ever end? The arms of relief seem so out of reach But I, I am here I am with you I will carry you through it all I won’t leave you; I will catch you When you feel like letting go Cause you’re not, you’re not alone And I will be your hope, when you feel like its over And I will pick you up, when your whole world shatters When you’re finally in my arms Look up and see love has a face I am with you I will carry you through it all I won’t leave you; I will catch you When you feel like letting go Cause your not, you’re not alone Cause I will be your hope, you’re not alone Cause I will pick you up Cause I will be your hope Cause I will be your hope Slowly fading away Lost and so afraid Where is the hope in a world so cold? Such a great reminder! :)

About Me!Hannah writes to satisfy her imagination. She's written six books so far--five of which need to be rewritten--and is working on a seventh. She ranges through a variety of genres, but favors contemporary YA, fixing broken characters. She wants to use her writing to change people and bring hope. She's currently going to college for Nursing and that takes up most of her writing time. She's a rather stereotypical writer, talking to imaginary friends, eavesdropping on people at the store, secretly being nosy, stashing herself away in her room with a paper and pen and chocolate and her teddy bear. She loves Jesus, the way the morning smells, her family of seven (four siblings), old movies, fairy tales, candles at night and helping people. She writes on another blog at nerdywriter.blogspot.com to hopefully build her chances of publication. My Author Site:Archives
