Going to a birthday party today. I wish it were later, because I want to rest a little beforehand. I was babysitting all day yesterday while my parents sifted the house with a lot of family and friends. They didn't find much, but what they did find was great. They found the bulldog statue that my grandma had been worrying about, since her grandma had given them to her. We are currently living in someone's house while they are on vacation. It's really big and pretty. There are five bedrooms. My grandma and grandpa are have the master bedroom. My parents have the other bedroom upstairs. Liam has another upstairs bedroom that is connected to my parents room. Me, Emma, Abby and Ella are sleeping downstairs, sharing two rooms. There is a huge exercise room and a mini kitchenette. We are blessed

Okay, that's sad that I can hardly remember what day it is. Life has been so busy and hectic (did I spell that right?). I'm bored Bored of being bored, because being bored is boring. Tired. Bored. Etc. Kind of stuck on chapter 16. Don't really know how to write the next part. *Sigh* Okay, so Ella wanted to watch the Prince of Egypt and I officially fell in love with the songs. Love the music.
My parents went to the burnt down house the other day and they found this one thing in the rubble. There was a plaque that said, "Be still and know that I am God." that was completely untouched. It had a small smear of soot on it, but otherwise, completely untouched. Praise God for those small reminders that he is still with us.
I'll post a pic. of the plaque soon when my dad sends it to me. We have a busy day today! Let's see, from 8:45-10:45 we're going to help at the church for the evacuees who lost their homes and are going to be distributing food or clothes or something (I didn't really get any details.) Then from 11:00- 12:30 we're going to church. And then from like 1:00-??? we're going to the park to have a Father's day celebration with both sides of the family. (FYI, that's like....53 people, give or take) That's why we're doing it in the park. Busy day. Busy but fun.
My grandma and grandpa went to our house. They said that all that was standing was the chimney and the lockers. The pasture was totally green and all the llamas and goats were perfectly fine. Thank God. We basically have fried chicken in our back yard:(, but at least we have the llamas and goats. Thank God for everything!
Good morning everyone! Today I really have no plans whatsoever, unless we decide to trek down to the PPLD library to return somethings that are almost overdue. I'm planning on watching the Avengers today. Writing....Reading...drawing....cleaning up...etc. Typical day. Have a great day! Maybe I can convince my parents to take us out for breakfast. Hmm....that's an idea. I think I'll do that.
We figured out that our house did burn down. It was put on the list of completely destroyed. We're planning on staying at our mountain house until the end of June when we have a renter and then stay somewhere (I don't know where) until July, when my grandma and grandpa's renters on their house are going to leave. We'll stay there while we rebuild the house. Thank goodness we're all safe and most of our important items. Thank you to all the people who have been helping us. We've gotten tons of clothes, toiletries and fun things to keep us occupied. Thank you everyone!
We figured out yesterday that the houses on the left and right and the one across the street were burned to the ground yesterday. If our house survived, it would be a miracle. But, honestly, I'm not sure whether it would be better to have our house be the only one standing in the middle of a field of black, or to have it burned down with all the others. Which is worse? If it was still standing we'd have major smoke damage and would have to throw away a lot of stuff. My dad was saying that the roaring we'd heard the other day (I might not have mentioned that, but we heard a roaring and we thought it was the wind) was not the wind, it was the fire. That was kind of scary to figure out. We're just hoping that some of the most important stuff that we had to leave are safe. Mom accidentally left all the baby albums, all of Ella's favorite stuffed animals and blankets etc. I managed to grab my biology notes, but none of the other biology stuff. That's the only thing that I left that I would have liked to grab. But, my grandma was saying, "It's just stuff. It can all be replaced. What matters is that we're all together." She's so right:) We went shopping yesterday, because we each only grabbed one or two outfits and that was fun. The only problem was that Liam was crabby. You know, happy until something doesn't go his way. This experience is so going in a book someday.
It was so freaky. We got a call that there was a fire fairly close to us in Black Forest, so we grabbed a pair of clothes just in case we had to leave, but we weren't panicking. Then it started getting bigger and places close to us were getting evacuated. We started grabbing more things, personal items, photo albums, etc. We decided to go stay at Mom's sister's house for a while, until the fire died down. Then it got really bad. The smoke all of the sudden intensified and we couldn't see the sun at times. The other times it was red through all the smoke. It got super thick and smoky. It
Okay. Seriously freaked out. There is a fire in Black Forest. Please be praying for all the people over there including us. A huge billow of smoke is blowing close to the house.
Last day of VBS. Very, very tired. Keeping track of 9 kids isn't as easy as it sounds:) And then we had another one show up yesterday. Woke up at 4:45 today (AM) to make cards for the people at VBS. I think I have a total of 8 for the kids to sign and give out to the snacks team, the crafts team, the games team, the bible team, the worship team, the pastors, everyone else who helped with backround stuff and then for our crew leader. That was eight, right? Leaving in about an hour. I am sitting in my living room with four people sleeping on the couches and floor, etc. Abby had two cousins over for a sleepover. So I have a cousin named Caitlin on one couch, Abby on another, a cousin named Hannah (as well) on the arm chair and Emma on the ground, sleeping on pillows and sleeping bags. We have hardwood floors, so I wonder how good a night's sleep she got last night. Sorry. I'm rambling on about random things. Working on Chapter 15. Just finished 14 at somewhere around 6:20. I officially have 104 pages and 27, 489 words. Whew! Hopefully I will be done with Chapter 15 soon.
There was this boy in VBS. He is somewhere around 7 years old. He told us that he didn't know how to pray and he didn't have a bible. His parents are divorced. Yesterday he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Praise God! Please be praying for him as he walks with God!
Please, everyone, pray for my crew in VBS. I have several crew members who seem like they're hurting. One boy said his brother is addicted to drugs. Another implied that his parents were divorced and yet another is more distant and is picked up by a caretaker, not his parents. If you would keep these boys in your prayers I'd be grateful. Thanks!
What I have planned for today:
1) Leave @ 7:20 for VBS 2) Help my Dad and his co-workers set up for VBS 3) @ 8:15 go to a Jr. Crew Leader's staff meeting 4) @ 8:45 start signing kids up for VBS 5) From 9:00-12:30 VBS!!!! 6) Have a friend come over and have fun! I really should do some biology today, but I think I"m going to skip on that today. Maybe tomorrow. I need to do it, since I'm planning on being I have officially passed the 25,000 word mark!!! I'm almost to my 100th page as well. So excited. This is officially the longest book I've ever written. My record before this was 71 pages. At 97 right now!
First day of June!!!!!! I finally got to my favorite part of Highway to Home! I've been waiting the whole entire book to that part. I'll post it later. June for me= VBS (my first year as a Jr. Crew Leader), Biology (hopefully the CLEP test) and random orthodontist appointments here and there, maybe a camping trip, some time with friends and family, writing, reading, and doing nothing whatsoever. I LOVE JUNE!!!

About Me!Hannah writes to satisfy her imagination. She's written six books so far--five of which need to be rewritten--and is working on a seventh. She ranges through a variety of genres, but favors contemporary YA, fixing broken characters. She wants to use her writing to change people and bring hope. She's currently going to college for Nursing and that takes up most of her writing time. She's a rather stereotypical writer, talking to imaginary friends, eavesdropping on people at the store, secretly being nosy, stashing herself away in her room with a paper and pen and chocolate and her teddy bear. She loves Jesus, the way the morning smells, her family of seven (four siblings), old movies, fairy tales, candles at night and helping people. She writes on another blog at nerdywriter.blogspot.com to hopefully build her chances of publication. My Author Site:Archives
