Heaven is an eternal fire that burns in your heart; it is living water that quenches your thirst forever; it is an embrace that never ends, because no one ever has to say good-bye.

God of my love, you have proven yourself faithful so many times before. You are the composer of my song, the writer of my verse. Without you, I am nothing but a clanging gong. So I ask you to be the great composer once again, because I am empty, breathless, void of any poem or melody. I need a...miracle, for these troubles plague my heart...While I wait for your help, I will speak what I know, the timeless truth that you taught me....I had to hold on to my anchor--you, my Lord, who never left me for a single second...And [you are] here...so I wait for you to help me...my Lord, my stronghold, my salvation. People don't understand how God could be loving and still allow millions upon millions to suffer...How can a God of justice allow the wicked to opress the innocent?...Why doesn't God come off his high horse and do something about it?...Such is their misdirected anger. They don't understand that your gift of free will is both a blessing and a curse, that can be as beautiful as Heaven itself, or as corrupt as the depths of Hell. Some are ignorant. Some are simply evil and rebellious. But they all need...the song you sang when you called light into being, when you shaped mankind from the dust of the Earth, when you delivered your precepts on tablets of stone, when you visited us in a manger and later shed your blood on a cross. It has always been a mercy song to strengthen your friends, for they need your guiding light, and a song to call your enemies to repentance, for love is a beacon that keeps wayward ships from crashing into the rocks. ~Bonnie
You'll never reconcile with someone you choose to hate. Hatred is a cancer that will devour you. It consumes its vicims like a raging fire. No one can be saved who harbors hatred in his heart. ~ Bonnie (The Seventh Door by: Bryan Davis)
When you read this story, you will know exactly what this means, but for now I choose to interpret it as God is your song. Read it with that in mind. My song is my answer and I have not lost it. You can slap me...spear me...or burn me, but you cannot silence my song. It is a song that has existed since the creation of the world, a hymn that called light out darkness, that commanded fullness from the void, that brought order out of chaos. ~Bonnie We are a small army, but with God on our side, we are a mighty one. ~ Elam |
